Heavy Metal Magazine, the Premier Adult Illustrated Fantasy Magazine continues to explore fantastic and surrealistic worlds, past present and future. Illustrators from around the world take you to places you never dreamed existed.  Heavy Metal is an American magazine, published bi-monthly. First published in 1977 we will celebrate our 35th anniversary The magazine and publishing company are owned by Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesin 2012. Heavy Metal's high-quality artwork is notable and talents as varied as H.R. Giger, Esteban Maroto, Richard Corben, Enki Bilal, Moebius and Simon Bisley have graced the pages and covers of the magazines for 35 years.   A line of sumptuous artbooks and graphic novels accompanies the magazines bi monthly production.


About Kevin Eastman/ Publisher: Heavy Metal
 
Kevin Eastman's first major comic book project was the co-creation of the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" with friend and creative partner Peter Laird. Mr. Eastman purchased the world re-known "Heavy Metal Magazine" in 1990, and continues to edit and publish the periodical today. Kevin is currently working on a new Heavy Metal animated film with Robert Rodriguez's "Quick Draw Studios," as well as working with IDW on the relaunch of the new TMNT comic series.


 About Simon Bisley /    Role: Artist / Illustrator (Pencils / Inks)

Simon Bisley, world-famous fantasy painter/illustrator, started his career when he signed up with 2000 AD, a British comic book company, where he was assigned "ABC Warriors," "Sláine" and "Judge Dredd." Following his massive success in the U.K., Mr. Bisley American invasion started DC Comics, where he produced award-winning work on "Doom Patrol,"  "Lobo," and fan favorite "Batman vs Judge Dredd." Quickly climbing to the top of the "Best Selling Cover Artist" list, Simon created some of the industry's most memorable, and has collaborated on several major graphic novel projects, such as "Melting Pot," "Death Dealer," "Aliens," "Bad Boy," "Bodycount," "F.A.K.K. 2," and "Jaguar God." Mr. Bisley has also provided character designs and concept art to a wide variety of notable to Hollywood productions, including Stan Winston's "Galaxy Quest" and the "Time Machine" remake.


About Michael Mendheim / Role: Cr
eator / Co-Writer / Graphic Design

Michael Mendheim has worked as an Executive Producer and Creative Director in the videogame industry for over twenty years. Some of his projects include the #1 hit, MUTANTLEAGUE FOOTBALL and MUTANT LEAGUE HOCKEY (which spawned a syndicated animated series and toy line), and the hugely successful, ARMY MEN series as well as BATTLETANX, DEFJAM:ICON, the critically acclaimed ROBOCALYPSE and the free to play mmorpg shooter, CRIMECRAFT. Michael also produced the graphic novel BLEEDOUT with Archaia Publishing and now eagerly transitions into the creator / writer role for his graphic novel dream project, THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE published by Heavy Metal. Michael is currently working on his next Graphic novel and runs DIGITAL DREAMS ENTERTAINMENT LLC, which is a social media development company specializing in iOS and Android applications.
