Born in Chicago in 1977, I started drawing at a very young age
and would frequent the galleries of Chicago any opportunity I
got. Having no real idea of what I was looking at in terms of
actual artists and their history I knew that I loved the fact
that someone created these beautiful works that as I stared at,
took me to a place unreachable by all means of everyday reality.
I knew from a very young age that I wanted to create.
My interest in art in terms of personal style, mediums and
subject matter was pushed in many different directions
throughout my teens and twenties which has led to my current
artistic addictions.
I draw definite influence from the likes of horror culture,
religious iconography, architecture and circus sideshows as well
as many artists whos work I sincerely appreciate including Chris
Mars, Todd Schorr, Guy Aitchison, H.R. Giger, and Chet Zar just
to name a few.
My work has been featured in publications such as Tattoo Flash,
Under Cover, Kikked, Visual Overture and I have been part of
various gallery shows throughout the United States including
most recently Dirty Show 13 in February 2012.
I currently reside in a dark Chicago studio filled with a
creative dichotomy of happy scars and hurtful tears... and some
really good beer.

Thought Provoking Horror
My goal is to open your eye and help you see what is already
there in front of you. I do not wish for you to necessarily
share my attitude or thought process but I instead wish for my
work to help you invoke your own. What many may view as
grotesque or evol may actually root as something that is quite
thoughtful and caring and of course vice versa. Everything is a
matter of perspective, take the time to see...
