Los Angeles based
artist, Yvonne Mecialis, has always had a passion for
science-fiction and fantasy. She showed a natural talent for art
at an early age. At first she worked in various media including
oil paints, water color, charcoal and acrylic. After receiving
her BFA in Illustration from CSU Long Beach, she began using an
airbrush. Now this is her primary painting tool. Yvonne's work
reflects sensuality in industrial settings. She is continually
influenced by the mechanized world in which she lives. Since
1998, Yvonne has been lending her airbrushing talent to the
world of custom painting. She has painted custom motorcycles and
cars, as well as helmets and guitars.
Yvonnes's art has been seen in various magazines including:
EASYRIDERS, BIG TWIN, VQ, LOS ANGELES FILM & MUSIC, SAVAGE, AUTO
ART, and HEAVY METAL.
One of her paintings also adorned the entrance Kiosk at the
LOLLAPALOOZA concert in 1997.
Yvonne had also been seen on TV on TLC's "RIDES". |
