Wes Borland

Wes Borland is a musician and artist, best known as the former guitarist in the band Limp Bizkit. Borland is well known for his Limp Bizkit years on stage with his eccentricity, frequently wearing elaborate face paint and black-tinted contact lenses and for his fondness of underground musical artists that differed greatly from the musical tastes of his band mates in Limp Bizkit stating the band was a destructive force in art.

Borland is currently the guitarist with Marilyn Manson and has his own project Black Light Burns.  Black Light Burns features Borland this time on Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards and Programming, Danny Lohner from NIN on Guitar, Bass, Keys, Programming (and BLB's producer), Josh Eustis on Programming, Keys and Josh Freese on Drums.

Borland also handled album art during his stint in Limp Bizkit. Likewise, he has provided the album art for both of the Black Light Burns releases. His band, Black Light Burns,  has two hit singles off their album "Cruel Melody" and is about to release their 2nd studio Album.  Wes is currently touring with Marilyn Manson.

The Belmont Burlesque

Also Support the Belmont Burlesque at the Heartbreakers Ball on Feb 13th

This Valentine’s Day, skip the gifts, skip the cards and avoid red roses at all costs. Celebrate the seedier side of passion on that luckiest of lucky days, Friday, February 13th as Belmont Burlesque presents the perfect remedy for those unlucky in love (or lucky enough to be single) – the Broken Hearts Burlesque Ball!

The entertainment for the evening skips the saccharine and gets straight to the bawdy business of bump and grind.  DJ Joe Black of Midnight Spookshow will be spinning between performances by the best of Chicago burlesque.  An assortment far sweeter than your average box of Whitman’s chocolates, featured performers include Pearl Pistol, Red Hot Annie, Backdoor Aly of Varietease Cabaret, boylesque sensation Hot Toddy, Dizzy Lizzy Delicious, The Honey Buns, The Amazing Tomas and our Belmont Bombshells.

Embrace your inner burlesque demon and show up dressed to thrill.  Guests are encouraged to dress to impress in festive black, red or burlesque inspired costumes, with cash prizes for the best dressed in attendance.

Shine up those stilettos, lace up your corset and grab some glitter for good measure. The night of sexy fun takes place on Friday, February 13th at the Abbey Pub (3420 W. Grace). Doors open at 8 PM, burlesque performances begin at 9 PM and run throughout the evening.  Tickets are $15 at the door, $12 in advance at http://www.abbeypub.com.
