Zmiya age 33, born to Illinois currently in Chicago upon return from New Orleans ~

I began creating where ever possible on whatever was available before I had a voice.  Over the years as my interest in theology and occultism grew, the images I created began to be shaped more and more by these forces.  My muses and guides while fickle, can be very generous when giving me glimpses into what they would like created, I only hope that I can keep them amused.  I would describe my artistic style as surreal impressionism, as I am always chasing the shadows in my mind and try to capture them with as few brush strokes as possible attempting to be as true to the vision as I can  before they turn to smoke, at which point I try to refine them until I can rest again. I began tattooing a decade ago to try to combat a drought or artist block, this gave me for the first time, a collaborative viewpoint towards art and ultimately gave me the will to share my stained canvases with others. Since then I have been invited into several galleries throughout this country and others, contacted for publication as well as cover and album art. For as long as others are interested in looking at what I paint I am grateful.
