From out of the vast suburban Chicago wastelands, where few
city dwellers dare go, comes a talent they said couldn't exist... that
shouldn't exist... in the cultural void that lies outside the Chicago city
limits...
Keith Klein IS that talent.
But he's no stranger to the art world. You've probably seen his work but
didn't know it, because, for over twenty years, Keith Klein has chosen to
make his mark, operating largely from the shadowy edges of notoriety...
but, no more!
After taking a five year break to raise his son, Keith returns with a
brand new series of dazzling paintings, using models or photos of people
he knows or has met exclusively on Facebook! 'The Facebook Series!'
As with all of Keith's work, 'The Facebook Series' is done in acrylics on
large scale canvases and, even though his paintings are big, they are
intended be seen up close and personal, to truly be appreciated.
They have already attracted a lot of attention online... come see what all
the noise is about!
A child prodigy with no formal art training, K2 (as his friends call him)
began his professional art career when he was still in high school. From
the early days, creating special events posters for all of Walter Payton's
Chicago area nightclubs, to a Chicago Cow, to the toy design work he did
on Star Wars Episode II, Keith has shown that his talent knows no bounds.
Aside from painting, Keith is currently in pre-production on an animated
series called, 'Surfur Gurl', which he plans to put out on the web
sometime this year. |
