Fabrizio Pasini, born in '66, is an Italian
illustrator and cartoonist and is also a teacher in the “Scuola
Internazionale di Comics” (International School of comics) in Jesi, Italy.
Fabrizio has always loved the pin-up style and retro cartoons of the 50’s
and now he draws models in cartoon style and in some cases rendering them
as interpretations of sexy comic strips.
Periodically, in Italy Fabrizio publishes the sexy comic “Agatha Moon”
(alter-ego cartoon of the homonymous Italian model) and he has
participated (with other illustrators) a comic art book tribute for the
famous cartoonist Dean Yeagle “The Mandy Portrait Gallery” (Brandstudio
Press) with his own version of Mandy. The book was released in July 2008
during the San Diego Comic Con.
September 2008 , Fabrzio’s pin-ups were published by two books in France,
“Les 69 secrets à savoir sur les femmes” and “Les 69 secrets à savoir sur
les hommes” (Septieme shock editions) containing a hundred of
illustrations of female and male pin ups.
October 2008, the French art book “Drakaina - Fantasy of Desires”
(Spootnik editions) and, at the end of the year, the American version
“Drakaina” (SQP Publishing - USA) were released containing drawings and
comics representing the French model Drakaina.
December 2008, Fabrizio has an exhibition of his pin-up drawings and
photos in Paris (from which the versions “cartoon” of the models have been
drafts).
April 2009, another collection of pin-up drawings and photos of Fabrizio’s
was released in France in collaboration with the French photographer Nath
- Sakura and the caricaturist Alain Roche (Ragage éditions).
More to come: a new pin up book in France for the beginning of 2010 and
new collaborations… with Veronika Kotlajic too.
