The Art of Elizabeth Austin

  My name is Elizabeth Austin.

One of my first creations, were dolls that were sold all over the world in the 80's, including very exclusive shops on Rodeo Drive in California where I grew up. They were called "The Children Of Enchantment". My 2 favorite collectors were Aaron Spelling and F.Lee Bailey.

I have also tattooed for approx. 10 years, although I prefer to paint.

I've also painted award winning motorcycles, helmets, you name it, I've done it!

I have also been featured in the Halloween carving kit's by "Pumpkin Masters" several times over the years.

I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.

Over the past few years, my  art has received recognition.

I paint  pin-ups  just for the love of the art.

I have been invited every year to the a pin-up convention "Glamourcon",but have yet to make it to one.

Some of my earlier pinups were made into temporary tattoos. The same manager that made them

offered me the job of creating a new series of art that is not pin-up. The "LA cats". These are cat-

like cartoon girls. They were made into stickers that were sold all over the U.S. in vending machines over the last 4 years. This was a new style of art for me, but a very successful one. It drew a lot of newspaper attention and a special on "PBS" about successful artists in the Midwest.

What I'm very busy is doing now is a line of Cartoon Pin-ups of Beth Chapman for an upcoming calendar. Beth Chapman is the wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter. This show is on A&E. My  art has been featured a few times on the show. This all started with a painting of Dog's daughter  Barbara Katy Chapman. A  tragic accident  took her life. The Chapman family wanted Barbara painted as a fairy because her nick name was "Fairy Dust". I painted their daughter and gave her fairy wings, and other touches. They loved it, and put it on the show, the painting was also featured on CNN news as part of an interview with Duane "The Dog" Chapman. I've been creating for Beth Chapman for approx. 3 year's now.
