Lisolette Gilcrest began publicly exhibiting her work in September 2006, making her debut at the renowned Dirty Show® in Detroit, Michigan.  In less than five years, she has been exhibited in thirty different erotic art shows throughout ten states and she has been featured in five books, with two more in production for release in 2011.   

Lisolette’s work is particularly noteworthy, as she was the only female artist to be featured in 2009 in both the Erotic Signature’s World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today – Volume III anthology and the Erotic Review’s Photographer of the Year Prize.  She was also selected as a “Winning Artist” for the second time in a row in the 2010 Erotic Signature competition – one of only seven women selected in both of the last two editions – and is featured in the newly released World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today – Volume IV.  In addition to these three international anthologies, Lisolette is also featured in Visions of Eros: A Midwest Perspective and in the book, Expeditions: A Compendium of the Erotic Photography of Lisolette Gilcrest 2006 – 2008. 

In addition to her acclaim from fans and art critics, several pieces of Lisolette’s work are featured in the permanent collection of the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction.  As a leader and an educator in the field of erotic art, she teaches workshops on subjects such as getting started in erotic photography, model and photographer releases and usage agreements, composition and the use of props, as well as marketing erotic art.  Lisolette is also a Charter Member of the Society of Erotic Art, as well as the Founder of the Society for Women in Erotic Art Today (“S.W.E.A.T.”) – a group formed to develop opportunities for women in erotica.
