"Death Oozer"
My first introduction to Frank Frazetta was at around 14 years of
age, and a while back now. A cousin had a copy of Frank Frazetta vol. 2
and as I looked through it, I became
an immediate fan. If I recall correctly, I started drawing some of my
favorites right away. What inspires me about Frazetta's art is the way
that he goes about capturing
action; the angles of his characters, the fact that what little gear or
clothing his characters wore, looked perfect. The fact that the central
focus of his art seems to
carry so much intensity and depth, there's just a sense of mood that you
can be drawn in to. He changed the face of fantasy art, he was a truly
brilliant, and inspiring, artist.
