About the artist’s work:

While the human body is beautiful, a mere picture of it is not art. My art is about more than the body as a form. To me the body is an element of the storytelling. My creative intent is to project more than just the beauty of the body, but to make it a part of a larger concept that tells a story…evokes an emotion. I tend to gravitate toward images where the body is integral with the overall image. But it’s the overall image that has the power to move the viewer. I’m also a believer in the mystique of shadow and highlight, and that often what can’t be seen tells the viewer more than what can be. To me art is more about allowing the viewer to feel something, rather than simply showing them something.

I work primarily with real people as opposed to professional models, and many of them are nude in front of a camera for the first time. I feel that often that rawness comes across in my images.
